Living Treasures

This week, we went to Living Treasures. Living Treasures is an animal park in southern Pennsylvania. They have lions, tigers, giraffes, monkeys, sloths, kangaroos, and goats, just to name a few of the animals that take up residence there. The difference between this park and normal zoos is that visitors can actually feed most of the animals there. The kids (and the staff) fed everything from goats to kangaroos to giraffes. (I even got a flamingo to nuzzle its beak into my hand!) Some of our kids also got to see something most of them would never have had the opportunity to see, a baby goat being born! They crowded around the pen, full of mamas and babies, and watched this beautiful miracle of life. It was a great day full of fun and laughter!
